Peace and Global Witness

The Peace and Global Witness Offering enables the church to promote the Peace of Christ by addressing systems of conflict and injustice across the world. Gifts given to the Peace and Global Witness offering through the congregation is divided by the congregation retaining twenty-five percent for their efforts to connect with the global witness of Christ’s peace and the other seventy-five percent being divided to support presbytery, synod, and PCUSA ministries of peace and reconciliation efforts. The Presbytery of Northern Plains uses its portion to support the Peace and Global, Witness Grant.

Pentecost

A gift to the Pentecost Offering helps the church encourage, develop, and support its young people, and also addresses the needs of at-risk children. 40% of the Pentecost offering can be retained by individual congregations wanting to make an impact in the lives of young people
within their own community. The remaining 60% is used to support children-at-risk, youth, and young adults through ministries of the Presbyterian Mission Agency. The Presbytery does not retain any of these funds and passes these funds on to PCUSA.

The Pentecost Offering is traditionally received on the day of Pentecost. However, you can help sustain the important PC(USA) ministries and programs that are supported by the Pentecost Offering by making a gift at any time throughout the year. In fact, many congregations receive it on a youth-related Sunday, like Sunday School Kickoff (or Rally) Day,
Youth Sunday, or their Confirmation Sunday. Congregations remit through the Presbytery of Northern Plains.

Congregations can support many of the Presbytery of Northern Plain's missions with their 60% if so desired. The missions that support at-risk children include Bdecan Food Pantry, Bdecan KICK program, Youth Connection scholarships for retreats and mission trips, Clearwater Forest
Bible Camp Scholarships, and Chogoria children’s programs. The funds should be designated and can be sent directly to the Presbytery of Northern Plains.

One Great Hour of Sharing

Typically received during the season of Lent, One Great Hour of Sharing supports Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Presbyterian Hunger Program, and Self Development of People – all work in different ways to serve individuals and communities in need. All offerings are sent to PCUSA through the Presbytery of Northern Plains.

Christmas Joy

By giving to Christmas Joy Offering, you honor God’s gift of Jesus Christ. This offering addresses the support needed by some of our leaders, including supporting leadership development for communities of color and providing support for Presbyterian church workers in their time of
need. This offering is sent to PCUSA through the Presbytery of Northern Plains.
