Committee On Nominations

A Nominating Committee shall be elected in conformity with G-3.0111. It shall consist of seven members apportioned equally among three classes.  The responsibilities of this committee shall be those described in G-3.0111. The Nominating Committee shall prepare a slate of candidates for all open, elected positions in the Presbytery and may recommend members to ministry teams.

The Nominating Committee will prepare slate of candidates for the following positions:

  1. Officers of the Presbytery of the Northern Plains - Moderator (2 year term), Vice-Moderator (2 year term), Stated Clerk (3 year term) and Treasurer (3 year term).

  2. Pod Leaders and Pod Task Leaders:

    • Care for Congregation Pod - Leader, Conflict Mediator Task Leader, Session Moderator Task Leader, Vacancy Counselor Task Leader​

    • Care for Pastoral Leadership Pod - Leader, Membership Admissions and Departures Task Leader, Conflict Mediator Task Leader, Continuing Preparation for Ministry Task Leader, Installations/Ordinations Task Leader

    • Leadership Pod - Leader, Financial Task Leader, Personnel Task Leader, Recorders Task Leader

    • Mission Pod - Leader, University of Jamestown Liaison

  3. ​Committee Members for:​

    • Committee on Representation​

    • Permanent Judicial Commission

    • Self-Development of People Committee

  4. Commissioners and Representatives to:​

    • General Assembly - Ruling Elder and Ministrer of the Word and Sacrament commissioners and alternates ​and Young Adult Advisory Delegate (YAAD).

    • Synod of Lakes and Prairies - Ruling Elder (3 year term) and Ministrer of the Word and Sacrament (3 year term) commissioners  ​and Young Adult Advisory Delegate (YAAD) (1 year term)

    • Clearwater Forest Board - two representatives (3 year terms)​​
