Mediation & Conflict Resolution Team
In August 2014 a group from the PNP attended the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center training for Mediation and Conflict Resolution. This training proved invaluable and those who attended sensed a call to serve the Presbytery through the skills that were learned at this training. A vision for a ministry team emerged and the group is excited to move forward in a way that fosters healing and reconciliation in high conflict churches and organizations within the Presbytery.
Vision: Those who attended the conference learned techniques that are biblically sound and proven effective over the course of time in a variety of faith settings across the denominational spectrum. The ministry team envisions being utilized, by request, to be an outside party to those engaged in high conflict situations. The team would listen, pray, discern, guide and ultimately help foster some healing and reconciliation for those involved. The team envisions being called upon by Presbytery leaders at the request of churches and organizations within our bounds as needed.
