Transformation Team or Emerging Churches Coaching Team (ECCT)
Paul exhorted the
Church in Rome to “not be conformed to this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that
you may discern what is the will of God – what is good
and acceptable and perfect” – Romans 12:2. Living as we
do in a world where the Christian Church and its
ministry is seemingly irrelevant to many people, it is
therefore incumbent upon us to be recreated, by the Holy
Spirit, into faith communities that exude from every
pore the love, justice, and mercy of Jesus Christ.
The Transformation or Emerging Churches Coaching Team (ECCT), a volunteer group, was formed to help churches in our Presbytery to be “transformed” in ways that are appropriate for the particular culture and constituency with whom they live and serve. Far from taking a “one size fits all” approach to congregational transformation, the ECCT is intent on equipping our congregations to become new, indigenous creations in Christ, through education, training of church leaders, and providing resources.
