The Older Adult Ministry Team (OAMT) has now formed. Current members are: Virginia and George Reichman (Mandan), Cathy Bliss (Wilton), and Melissa Barenthsen (West Fargo).
The OAMT has set three goals for the upcoming year. Two of the goals will be in connection with the Presbytery's partnership in Kenya. The OAMT wants to help resource the libraries in the Chogoria Presbytery with books. They would also like to collect netting supplies to send over with the 2008 mission trip to Kenya. In addition, they want to encourage older adults throughout the Presbytery to spend some of their free time giving back to the community (more information to come on this).
Other resources:The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s Older Adult Ministries is committed to equipping leaders, developing covenant connections and providing resources to welcome and encourage older adults to participate at every level of the church while meeting their needs and utilizing their talents.
