A vibrant, informed, Presbyterian community which nourishes ministry and joins in Christ’s mission.

Presbyterians for Earth Care

Across the country Presbyterians for Earth Care are actively carrying out an essential part of the Church mission.

Scripture's first creation text places side by side: humanity made in the image of God, and humanity caring for creation in such a way as to keep it "good" (Genesis  1:26-31). A later psalmist repeats that humanity's place of "dominant" responsibility is accountable to the God who entrusted us with that mission (Psalm  8:4-8). Over both people and planet there is only one Sovereign, and that One is not us: "The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it" (Psalm  24:1; cf. Psalm  8:1,9).
